POCO Launches M7 Pro 5G in Malaysia, Bringing Flagship Features to Budget-Friendly Buyers

POCO has officially launched the POCO M7 Pro 5G in Malaysia, aiming to redefine value in the mid-range smartphone segment. With the latest 5G connectivity, upgraded hardware, powerful imaging, and immersive display features, the POCO M7 Pro 5G is set to become the most powerful device in its class — all while staying accessible to budget-conscious users.

Design-wise, the M7 Pro 5G is slim at only 75.7mm wide and weighs just 190g, offering comfort without compromising durability. It’s available in three vibrant colors — Green, Silver, and Purple — and features a curved back, seamless rounded edges, and a 3D transparent curved camera module for a premium look. With IP64 dust and water resistance, the phone is protected against splashes and dust, ensuring dependable performance.

Powered by the Dimensity 7025-Ultra processor, the POCO M7 Pro 5G delivers class-leading performance, achieving an impressive AnTuTu score of 477,003. With up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 12GB of virtual RAM extension, the phone handles multitasking and gaming with ease. It also includes 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring fast data access and ample room for apps, games, and media.

Battery life is another highlight, with a large 5110mAh battery supported by 45W turbo charging for all-day usage and quick top-ups. The battery system is TÜV Rheinland certified for safety and longevity, retaining over 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. Smart battery health management further extends lifespan by learning from users’ charging habits and adapting over time.

Entertainment is front and center with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, peaking at 2100 nits brightness, making it the brightest screen ever on a POCO M-Series device. Whether indoors or outdoors, users will enjoy crisp, vibrant visuals backed by a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz instant touch sampling for ultra-responsive gaming. The screen also includes TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian rhythm-friendly lighting, as well as SGS eye-care certification.

To complete the immersive media experience, the POCO M7 Pro 5G includes dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, and a 300% Volume Boost feature to cut through noisy environments.

Photography on the POCO M7 Pro 5G is elevated by a 50MP Sony IMX882 rear camera, offering up to 29.8% more light capture with a wide f/1.5 aperture. With OIS and EIS support, users can enjoy stabilized shots and videos even in motion. A 2X optical-grade In-Sensor Zoom enhances zoom quality beyond typical digital methods, while AI Zoom sharpens distant subjects. On the front, a 20MP AI camera with 0.8X wide-angle support ensures group selfies are never a problem.

The phone’s POCO Imaging Engine maximizes camera performance with AI tools like AI Bokeh, AI Erase, AI Sky, and RAW Domain Ultra-Sense Night Mode, offering enhanced detail, color accuracy, and more realistic low-light shots.

To enhance productivity, the M7 Pro 5G also includes the Google Gemini app, giving users access to AI-powered tools for writing, brainstorming, studying, and more.

The POCO M7 Pro 5G is now available in Malaysia in two configurations:

    • 8GB + 256GB for RM999, with an early bird promo at RM799
    • 12GB + 256GB for RM1,099, with an early bird promo at RM899

The device is available for purchase on mi.com as well as POCO’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, with the early bird offer valid until 17 April 2025.
