Sony’s flagship WF-1000XM5 earbuds improve upon the previous model with richer sound quality, slightly more powerful ANC, and vastly improved comfort thanks to their reduced size and weight.
It’s possible Sony could release the WF-1000XM6 sometime later this year, but for now, few wireless earbuds offer as much value as the current-gen XM5. Along with delivering dynamic and detailed sound, they do a fantastic job of drowning out noise. If you use your earbuds to make phone calls, they’re even more impressive, allowing you to easily eliminate background noise and be heard even in loud environments.
With four foam-style ear tips, the wireless earbuds are also comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time, which you can do without worrying about battery life. That’s because the XM5 can last up to eight hours on a single charge with ANC enabled and recharge exceptionally fast using the included charging case.
