CMF by Nothing launches Phone 2 Pro and three wireless earbuds

CMF, the sub-brand of London-based technology company Nothing, has officially unveiled four new products in Malaysia: the CMF Phone 2 Pro, CMF Buds 2, CMF Buds 2 Plus, and CMF Buds 2a.

CMF Phone 2 Pro: A Premium Leap Forward

The CMF Phone 2 Pro marks a bold leap in design and performance, delivering segment-leading features, a pro-level four-camera system, a vibrant display, and a lightweight premium build. It is the slimmest and lightest smartphone that Nothing has ever designed, measuring just 7.8 mm thick and weighing 185 g—5% thinner than the CMF Phone 1. The aluminum camera surround and stainless steel screws further emphasize the phone’s authentic craftsmanship, now enhanced with IP54 water resistance (an improvement over the previous IP52 rating).

Available in White, Black, Orange, and Light Green, the CMF Phone 2 Pro features a refined design. Black and Light Green models sport a glass-like, frosted finish, while the White variant has a minimalist sandstone-textured back. The Orange model offers a bold metallic sheen, reflecting a considered upgrade from CMF Phone 1’s aesthetics.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro boasts an upgraded four-camera system, led by a 50 MP main camera featuring the largest sensor size in its class, capable of capturing 64% more light than its predecessor. The telephoto lens offers 20x digital zoom with six stacked lenses, while an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 16 MP front-facing camera round out a highly versatile photography setup.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chipset, offering an 8-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5 GHz, delivering 10% faster processing and 5% improved graphics compared to CMF Phone 1. Built on TSMC’s 4nm process, it ensures excellent power efficiency.

A 5000 mAh battery enables nearly two days of use and lasts nearly an hour longer than the previous generation. Users will enjoy a 6.77-inch FHD+ flexible AMOLED display, the largest and brightest yet in the CMF range, with 1.07 billion colours, Ultra HDR support, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits—50% brighter than the CMF Phone 1. It also boasts a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate and a smooth 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Modularity continues with the Phone 2 Pro supporting three accessories: Universal Cover, Interchangeable Lenses (Fisheye and Macro), and a Wallet/Stand. NFC support has also been added for seamless contactless payments, marking a key upgrade over the previous generation.

CMF Audio Lineup: Tailored Audio for Every User

Expanding its audio lineup, CMF launched the Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a, offering a range of options to suit different user needs.

The CMF Buds 2 are designed for everyday use, delivering a balanced sound experience with Dirac Opteo™ tuning, 48dB hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and Spatial Audio Effect for clearer, more dynamic sound.

The CMF Buds 2 Plus target users seeking premium audio, equipped with Hi-Res LDAC support, hearing compensation, and full EQ customization for a tailored listening experience.

The CMF Buds 2a serve as the entry-level offering, delivering crisp sound through a 12.4 mm bio-fibre driver and 42dB ANC, making them a lightweight, high-quality audio companion for all-day listening.

    Pricing and Availability

The CMF Phone 2 Pro will be available in Orange, White, and Black, priced at RM1,199 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The CMF Buds 2 will be available in Dark Grey, Light Green, and Orange for RM199.
The CMF Buds 2a will be available in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Orange for RM159.
The CMF Buds 2 Plus will be available exclusively online in Blue and Light Grey, priced at RM229.

Pre-orders open on 29 April 2025, with open sales starting on 6 May 2025. Products will be available online through Nothing.tech, Lazada Nothing Flagship Store, Shopee Nothing Official Store, and Nothing Malaysia TikTok Shop.

For in-person purchases, customers can head to authorized retailers such as DirectD, TMT, URBAN REPUBLIC, Vivid Concepts, TAC Mobile, SS Solution, and the Nothing Image Store at Plaza Low Yat.
