Honda Malaysia launches e:N1 BEV, priced at RM149,900

Honda Malaysia has officially launched its first-ever Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the Honda e:N1, marking a significant milestone in the company’s electrification journey. Priced at an introductory RM149,900 for a limited quantity, the e:N1 promises an electrifying combination of cutting-edge performance, intelligent technology, and bold design.

Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Narushi Yazaki, highlighted the brand’s commitment to advancing mobility in Malaysia. “This launch builds on our legacy of innovation, from IMA to e:HEV technologies. The e:N1 represents more than excitement—it’s our next step into electrification, complementing our current ICE and hybrid offerings and fulfilling our 2025 business direction,” he said.

    Performance and Charging Capabilities

The Honda e:N1 is powered by a 68.8kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque. It supports both AC normal charging up to 10kW and DC fast charging up to 78kW. With up to 500km of range (NEDC), it takes about six hours to charge from 10% to 80% on AC and around 50 minutes via DC fast charging.

Drivers can choose from three driving modes—Sport, Normal, and ECON—to suit various driving preferences.

    Sleek Design and Premium Cabin

The e:N1 features a clean, modern exterior with Honda’s new white “H” badge, LED headlights, taillights, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is elevated with blue ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and Honda-exclusive features like a 10.25-inch TFT driver display and a 15.1-inch advanced infotainment touchscreen. The three-section display allows seamless access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and vehicle controls.

Spaciousness remains a priority, with a 60:40 split rear seat and 344 litres of boot space, ensuring comfort and practicality.

    Advanced Safety and Connectivity

In addition to the comprehensive Honda SENSING suite, the e:N1 is equipped with Blind Spot Information (BSI) and Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM)—features exclusive to this BEV. The car’s full integration into Honda’s online ecosystem allows customers to pre-book the vehicle via the New Car Pre-Booking portal or the HondaTouch app, with the support of a dedicated brand ambassador.

    Warranty and Insurance

Customers will benefit from an eight-year/160,000km warranty (whichever comes first) on the battery and electric drive system. Honda also offers the HiP EV insurance package, which includes coverage for public charging incidents, EV home charger protection, charging cable loss or damage, and personal liability for home charging mishaps.

    Available Colours and Dealerships

The Honda e:N1 comes in three premium colours: Platinum White Pearl, Aqua Topaz Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl. Customers can place bookings at any of Honda’s eight authorised BEV dealerships nationwide or via the official pre-booking site at https://prebook.honda.com.my.

Backed by strong early 2025 sales and customer support, Honda Malaysia is confident that the e:N1 will further strengthen its position in the Malaysian automotive market.
