Samsung launches refreshed Galaxy Watch Ultra with new health tracking feature – NotebookCheck.net News
The Samsung Galaxy Ultra has received a 2025 refresh. This new version of the smartwatch has specs identical to those of the 2024 wearable, but it comes with larger internal storage and sports a new health tracking feature.
Alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series, Samsung has introduced a refreshed version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The specs are very similar to those of the 2024 model, but there are some key differences. One of them is support for a new health tracking feature: antioxidant index measurement.
It’s also available in the smartwatches within the Watch8 series, and per Samsung, the feature can measure the carotenoids, which can eventually help users to check how healthy their diet is. Besides this new health tracking feature, the internal storage of the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra has seen an upgrade.
While the 2024 model (curr. $299.99 on Amazon) comes with 32 GB of storage, the 2025 version takes it to 64 GB. The new Watch Ultra is still powered by the Exynos W1000, and the smartwatch still has 2 GB of RAM. As for the other specs, they are more or less the same as last year’s wearable.
The 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra features a 590 mAh battery that’s said to offer up to 100 hours of runtime in power-saving mode. As a rugged wearable, it features a 10 ATM water resistance rating, and Samsung notes that the titanium chassis can easily handle everyday abuse.
Among the other highlights of the refreshed Galaxy Watch Ultra are a 1.5-inch display with a peak brightness rating of 3,000 nits, a Quick Button, and dual-frequency GPS. The new smartwatch costs €699 in the EU, and it’s available in Blue Titanium, Grey Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium.
