Oppo K13 Turbo Pro tipped to be thinnest active cooling smartphone on launch – NotebookCheck.net News

The K13 Turbo and Turbo Pro are slated to launch as the world’s first Oppo smartphones with an active fan. The latter is now said to have a feature not often seen in handsets with its type of active cooling technology. It might also have some other advantages on the high-performance Android market.

Oppo’s response to the prevailing vibes that “the mobile phone industry [is] getting boring” is about to be unleashed in the form of the K13 Turbo series, the first of their line to boast an actual spinning fan as part of their thermal management system.

The K13 Turbo Pro will reportedly dodge a typical drawback of integrating the technology, which has been around since RedMagic introduced the concept in the 6S Pro in 2021.

Active cooling often makes a mobile device thicker than normal; even the latest RedMagic 10S Pro is 8.9 millimeters (mm) in depth, compared to 8.2mm in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra it closely resembles.

By contrast, the leaker Fixed Focus Digital claims to have found that the Turbo Pro is a veritably conventional 8.3mm in thickness. It is also apparently not overly heavy at 208 grams (g, compared to 218g in the Galaxy S25 Ultra).

These apparent advantages (that even Oppo has failed to publicize ahead of the K13 Turbo series’ launch on July 21, 2025) are allegedly joined by a battery that will “exceed expectations” in the Pro variant.
