OnePlus 15 to depart from OnePlus 13 with major camera change – NotebookCheck.net News
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will be its last flagship with Hasselblad camera branding. In a significant change and the first in five years, the OnePlus 15 will adopt what OnePlus is describing as its in-house ‘DetailMax Engine’ instead.
OnePlus has announced a new major change to its camera software going forward. For context, the company is expected to introduce the OnePlus 15 before the end of the year. While the company has not revealed an official launch date yet, it has confirmed that it will no longer be partnering with Hasselblad.
Instead, it has decided to create the DetailMax Engine, which it insists retains ‘refined aesthetic sense’ found in recent Hasselblad-tuned flagships like the OnePlus 13 (curr. $859 on Amazon). Adding to that, OnePlus describes its in-house imaging engine in the following terms:

Currently, OnePlus hopes that the DetailMax Engine will help its next flagship ‘set a new standard for clarity in its class’. Based on recent leaks, the OnePlus 15 will also line up with at least one other major upgrade over its predecessor. Also, OnePlus is expected to equip its new flagship with Qualcomm’s next Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which it is due to announce before the end of the month. Unfortunately, global availability and pricing for the OnePlus 15 remain unknown for the time being.
