Sennheiser has unveiled the HDB 630 over-ear headphones, designed for high-resolution music enthusiasts.

The HDB 630 utilizes 42 mm drivers, cushioned with Japanese protein leatherette ear cushions, and mounted in a frame adapted from the company’s Momentum 4 headphones.

Users can tune the sound reproduction using the Smart Control Plus app, which has a parametric equalizer, a left and right speaker blending adjustment, and the ability to share settings with other users. External sounds are blocked with adaptive active noise cancellation, with transparency mode for conversations.

The HDB 630 can connect to audio sources using wired 3.5 mm and USB-C cables or over wireless Bluetooth 5.2 connections. The headphones include a BDT 700 USB Type-C transmitter dongle with support for the aptX Adaptive audio codec for use with phones that do not support this format. The headphones are rated for a 60-hour runtime and can add 7 hours with ten minutes of quick charging, according to the company.

The wireless audio codec supports dynamic adjustment of the sound latency and quality, with latencies as low as 80 msec and audio quality as high as 24-bit, 96 kHz at 420 kbps. Details have not been released as to whether the headphones support the even higher quality LDAC codec supported by modern Android phones.

The Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones have an MSRP of $499.95/€499.90. They will be available for pre-order on October 8, with shipping starting October 21, 2025. Readers can look for it on the Sennheiser store on Amazon.
