4K gaming monitor with 450 nits and up to 320Hz: AOC Agon U32G4U debuts
The newest 32-inch 4K gaming monitor from AOC offers a relatively high brightness of 450 nits and refresh rate of up to 320Hz at a mid-range price. However, the highest refresh rate is only available at lower resolutions, and the Agon U32G4U lacks USB-C connectivity.

The AOC Agon U32G4U is marketed as a better-equipped alternative to the AG325QZN, which currently retails for €389 in Europe. To be more exact, AOC has replaced the 240Hz QHD panel with a new 32-inch 4K panel. This new screen gives gamers a choice of 4K at 160Hz or 1080p at 320Hz.
Furthermore, the IPS panel has a response time of 0.5ms, and Adaptive Sync is supported and should prevent screen tearing. AOC has not provided any official specs regarding color reproduction, but the brightness is relatively high for this price segment, as the monitor can produce 450 nits across the entire screen. However, there’s no local dimming, which means the 4K gaming monitor probably won’t offer a stunning HDR performance. That said, the surface has an anti-glare finish.
This 4K monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4, but lacks USB-C. That said, AOC has included four-port USB-A ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The stand can be adjusted in height by 5.1 inches and tilted, while the pivot function allows the screen to be rotated into portrait orientation. Settings can be adjusted directly via the AOC G-Menu Windows app, which means users don’t have to fiddle around with the on-screen menu.
Price and availability
The AOC Agon U32G4U will launch in mid-October with an official MSRP of €459 in Europe. HDMI and DisplayPort cables are included in the box, and AOC provides a three-year manufacturer warranty. More details about the 4K gaming monitor can be found on the brand’s official website. Please note that this product might not launch in the US.
