Epic Games Store is currently giving away two PC freebies, which are worth over $50 in value. However, those aren’t the only game giveaways that the storefront has available to offer. It has also revealed a free game for mobile, and as a recent leak suggested, it’s Double Dragon Trilogy.

This mobile free game on Epic Games Store is available for both iOS and Android. It will be up for grabs from October 9 to October 16, 2025, until UTC 15:00. As for the freebie itself, it’s basically a collection of three retro games, which include:

• Double Dragon 1987
• Double Dragon 2: The Revenge 1988
• Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta 1990

The developer team brought these classic titles to the modern platforms with the release of Double Dragon Trilogy in 2013. While this release makes the three games run on modern machines, they feature the same pixelated graphics and chiptune soundtracks. Of course, the developers have added an option to switch between remixed and classic music.

Another notable aspect of the Trilogy is that there are two modes. One of them is the Arcade mode, which tasks players with achieving high scores. As for the other, it’s the Story mode with level-based progress and achievements. Regardless of the mode selected, the three included titles offer the same beat ’em up experience that made the series popular in the late 1980s.

Now, while Double Dragon Trilogy is a re-release for modern platforms, according to some players, the developers didn’t do a great job in terms of making the controls responsive. Of course, a physical mobile controller can help (Asus ROG Tessen curr. $73.49 on Amazon).
