Since the original Nintendo Switch debutted, gamers haven’t had the chance to purchase games officially from the Nintendo eShop not unless you switch to other regions, which you can end up paying more expensive prices for games due to foreign currency fluctuations, this inconvenience fortunately ends on 18th November 2025, as the Nintendo eShop will officially be available for Malaysians.

As confirmed by Nintendo on its official blog, the service will be available on the said date not only in Malaysia but also in Singapore and Thailand, not only users can purchase games in their local currency but also sign up to the Nintendo Switch Online service, which enables cloud saves, cooperative plays, and access to classic Nintendo game titles, this will be available to Switch 2 and Switch consoles.

A few months back, Nintendo officially made its presence here in conjunction with the launch of the Switch 2, which is a big milestone for the gaming comapny and benefits gamers as they can finally purchase the console from official channels instead of grey imports, the Nintendo eShop launch is also expected but with no dates back then.

Despite this, Nintendo has mentioned that more specific services will be announced when the Nintendo eShop launches on that day, and it is looking forward to expand the service to The Philippines at a later time.
