Honor 500 series design gets officially showcased as pre-orders open in China – NotebookCheck.net News

The Honor 500 series is set to launch soon as a new sub-flagship phone range. Ahead of the formal launch, the company has officially showcased the design of the standard and Pro phones, and they look very similar to the iPhone Air.

Shortly after the recent leak, Honor has now officially showcased the design of the Honor 500 series. Of course, the Pro phone didn’t turn out to be as expected as the leaked image suggested a slightly different design. But both, however, do have an outlook that’s very similar to the iPhone Air.

First, the non-Pro Honor 500, which is now confirmed to sport a triple camera setup on the back, has two prominent camera lenses. The cameras are housed inside an island that looks identical to the “plateu” of the iPhone Air. Of course, Apple’s slim flagship has only one camera on the rear, making it comparatively less versatile.

Moving to the Honor 500 Pro, it also appears to feature a triple camera setup on the rear, but there’s an additional module, and the camera island is slightly different than the non-Pro phone.

Among the two, the non-Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Honor 500 Pro will reportedly pack the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite. Previous reports have hinted that the two phones will come with a 200 MP camera on the back, which the brand has now confirmed through the latest teaser posts.

Honor has also started to take pre-order reservations in China, which has revealed the storage and memory configurations of the two phones. As the official pre-order page reveals, the non-Pro will be available with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, while the Honor 500 Pro will top out at 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The pre-order page also confirms that the Honor 500 series will be available in Moonlight Silver, Obsidian Black, Starlight Powder, and Aquamarine colorways. They are also rumored to feature large batteries, possibly larger than 8,000 mAh (slim 45 W Iniu 10K power bank curr $18.68 on Amazon). Honor is expected to share more official details soon through teasers.
