OnePlus is set to expand its performance-oriented smartphone lineup with the Ace 6T. The company has confirmed it will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. While initially launching in China, the phone may reach global markets as the OnePlus 15R.

In October, OnePlus introduced two new smartphones in China: the OnePlus 15 and the Ace 6. The company has now confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus Ace 6T (which was previously rumored as the Ace 6 Pro Max).

OnePlus President Louis Lee announced on his official Weibo account that the Ace 6T will be released this November, though no exact release date has been confirmed. The main highlight of the smartphone will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The company claims it will be the first phone to feature this high-end chipset. At this time, little is known about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. However, leaks suggest it may perform slightly better than the Snapdragon 8 Elite that powered last year’s flagship phones like the OnePlus 13.

Official promo posters suggest the battery will be a key highlight of the Ace 6T. Earlier leaks point to a large 8,000mAh capacity. Additionally, the official promo poster suggests it will have a 165Hz display. With a more powerful chipset and larger battery, the Ace 6T will likely be positioned above the standard Ace 6, which launched at a starting price of CNY 2,599 (~$366).

As for the global launch, the Ace series is typically China-exclusive, though some models later launch globally under different names. The OnePlus Ace 6T may be rebranded as the OnePlus 15R, which was previously teased during the OnePlus 15’s global launch event.
