Here are my 25 favorite deals from REI’s Cyber Week sale

REI took a hike during Black Friday, but the retailer is back with a full week of deals. Now through December 8th, REI is hosting a Cyber Week sale that offers big discounts on gadgets and gear designed for the outdoors. If you’re planning to hit the slopes this winter, now’s a good time to stock up. Perhaps you’re dreaming of the day warmer weather returns; there are plenty of deals on off-season gear, too.

Below, we’ve rounded up the best deals on Garmin watches, Bluetooth speakers, action cameras, camping gear, and more from brands like Insta360, JBL, and Yeti. Many of the products on this list we’ve either tested, reviewed, or bought ourselves, so you can be assured you’re making a quality purchase, whether you’re upgrading your kit, or buying a stocking stuffer or two. On top of Cyber Week, you can also save up to 60 percent off at REI Outlet, giving you more ways to save.

    $750

The Garmin Fenix 8 is a premium multisport watch that adds a speaker, mic, and on-device assistant for calls, timers, and voice commands. It also offers elite battery life, dual-frequency GPS, and robust sensors. Read our review.

    $350

The Venu 3S remains our favorite Garmin smartwatch. It’s a comfortable wearable with up to 10 days of battery life and a vibrant 1.2-inch OLED display, not to mention solid sleep tracking, Atrial Fibrillation detection, and a built-in EKG reader. Read our review.

    $250

The Garmin Forerunner 165 Music lets you download songs from Spotify, Amazon Music, and more. It also provides in-depth training metrics; however, it leaves out some of the more advanced features in exchange for a more affordable price. Read our review.

    • You can snag the Garmin Enduro 3 at its all-time low price of $749.99 ($150 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and REI. The high-end fitness watch is a popular option among the ultramarathon crowd, offering battery life that lasts up to 90 days with solar charging. It has a built-in LED flashlight, while the inclusion of multi-band GPS with SatIQ can help you stay on course during your trail runs. There are also features like TopoActive maps, adaptive training, recovery insights, and even rucking and ski profiles.
    • If you’re on the hunt for a more affordable option, the Garmin Vivoactive 6 is currently available at its all-time low of $249.99 ($50 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and REI. The fitness watch can track a range of workouts, including walking, running, cycling, HIIT, golf, and more. It also provides extensive health monitoring, including wrist-based heart rate, morning report, stress tracking, and menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking. The battery life is rated to last up to 11 days, too, so you don’t have to worry about putting it on a charger every night.
    • There’s nothing like cooking a warm meal at your campsite. Sure, you have to carry some extra gear, but it’s worth it in the end, and right now you can get Coleman’s Cascade Classic Camp Stove for $97.49 (about $33 off) in a slick “hickory moss” color at REI. The camp stove provides 20,000 total BTU of cooking power, with two adjustable burners and enough room to accommodate one 12-inch pan and one 10-inch pan. It also features handy wind guards to help shield the burners and flame, along with up to one hour of burn time on high.

    $519

The Pocket 3 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, three built-in microphones, and a 2-inch rotatable screen. If you’re unhappy with the video your phone captures, DJI’s compact cam makes it easy to get high-quality, stabilized footage, whether you’re vlogging your adventures or filming a wedding. Read our impressions.

    • The Garmin inReach Messenger Plus is a satellite communicator that’s great for going off the grid, and it’s currently at its all-time low price of $349 ($150 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and REI. The Messenger Plus can connect to the Iridium satellite network for global SOS, location sharing, and photo and voice messaging, so you can send a selfie to a loved one to let them know you’re ok. The richer context makes the Messenger Plus a nice upgrade over something like the Garmin inReach Mini 2, which only supports text, so long as you’re willing to pay the $7.99 per month subscription fee.
    • If you’ll be on the trail when it’s dark, you’re going to need a headlamp. Luckily, the BioLite Range 500 Headlamp is on sale for around $52.39 (about $18 off) at REI and BioLite’s online storefront. The headlamp is a great, basic option that features a max output of 500 lumens and five light modes, including white flood, white spot, white strobe, red flood, and red strobe. Its IP67 rating means it’s safe to use in the rain, while its side LED display can indicate how long the built-in, 1,634mAh battery can go before it needs to be recharged.

    $60

The Clip 5 is a compact Bluetooth speaker that provides big sound. It has a full customizable equalizer, so you can adjust the sound to your taste, along with an IP67 rating and up to 12 hours of playtime. It also has a built-in carabiner (hence the name), making it easy to clip the speaker to a backpack for easy listening on the go.

    • I wouldn’t recommend playing music out on the trail; however, it’s nice to have some (quiet) tunes while gathered around a campfire. You can play your favorite playlist with the JBL Flip 7, which you can snag at an all-time low of $109.95 ($40 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and REI. The portable Bluetooth speaker features some nice upgrades over its predecessor, including a more rugged design, an enhanced tweeter, and an additional two hours of battery life. It also has an IP68 rating, so you can enjoy the Flip 7 by the lake, while JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology can raise the speaker’s volume without introducing distortion.
    • The JBL Charge 6 is a larger, more robust option, and it’s currently at an all-time low of $129.99 ($70 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and REI. The portable Bluetooth speaker provides up to 28 hours of battery life with JBL’s Playtime Boost feature, an IP68 rating, and a handy removable strap, making the Charge 6 easier to transport. It also features an upgraded woofer and supports lossless audio through compatible music streaming services, including Apple Music and Spotify; however, you must connect a phone or laptop to the speaker via USB-C to use that feature.

    $179

The River 3 Plus is a relatively compact but mighty portable power station with an output of up to 600W. It weighs 10 pounds, features app support, and can double as an uninterruptible power supply in emergencies.

    • You can snag the EcoFlow Rapid Magnetic Power Bank at its all-time low of $68.99 ($51 off) at REI. The 10,000mAh Qi2-ready battery is a great option for travel season, when you’ll likely be away from a charger for an extended period of time. It can charge newer iPhones or select Android devices at up to 15W via Qi2, while its built-in USB-C cable can provide up to 65W of power to larger devices. As a bonus, it features a retractable kickstand and a digital display, which can show you how much charge the power bank has left in the tank.

    $465

The Insta360 X5 is a powerful 360-degree camera that offers a larger sensor and new image processing. It can capture 4K footage at up to 120fps or 8K footage at up to 30fps, producing sharp video with rich colors. It also features more durable lenses than prior models, which you can swap out if they get damaged. Read our review.

    • A portable power bank is an essential companion if you frequently travel. Right now, you can snag the BioLite Charge 80 PD Power Bank for around $74.89 at REI and Biolite. The Charge 80 PD features a capacity of 20,000mAh, providing multiple charges to your smartphone. It can even charge most 13-inch laptops, too. There are three total ports — a single USB-C and two USB-A — allowing you to charge three devices simultaneously. Biolite says it’s also carry-on compliant, so you can take it on flights to see family during the holidays.
    • The Yeti Rambler is available for its lowest price of the year from REI and Yeti, where you can grab it for just $30.40 (about $8 off). The 20-ounce water bottle is made of kitchen-grade stainless steel and features double-wall vacuum insulation, ensuring your beverage stays hot or cold for hours. It also features a press-in straw lid that’s leak-resistant, while its tapered design ensures it can fit most cupholders, making it a great companion for road trips.

    $33

Mpowerd’s solar-powered string lights are perfect for camping or a backyard shindig. The 18-foot string can display six colors and last up to 15 hours on a single charge; the case also doubles as a charger, allowing you to top off your phone in a pinch.

    $357

DJI’s Osmo 360 is the company’s first 360-degree action camera. The compact camera features strong stabilization, so footage doesn’t come out shaky, and it can record at 8K/30fps for up to 100 minutes on a full charge.

    • The Leatherman Wingman is currently available for $55.89 (about $14 off) at REI. It’s a versatile multitool that’s great for everyday odd jobs, offering spring-loaded pliers for one-handed use, an outside-accessible locking blade, and scissors for quick cuts. Additionally, it features Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, a file, a package opener, and a bottle / can opener. Its compact size makes it easy to slide into your pocket, too, making small fixes — like campsite repairs — quick and easy.
    • Coffee is the unsung hero of early morning hikes, which makes a quality mug an essential add to your next adventure. Right now, Stanley’s Everyday Camp Mug is down to an all-time low of $18.69 (about $6 off) at REI and Amazon. The 12-ounce mug features double-wall vacuum insulation, promising to keep warm drinks warm and cold drinks cold for up to six hours. It’s made of a durable 18/8 stainless steel, while the drink-through lid can be closed to prevent splashes.

    $330

The GoPro Hero 13 features in-camera noise reduction and a new burst slo-mo mode that can record 5.3K video at 120fps. The camera has been updated with Wi-Fi 6 (an upgrade from its predecessor’s Wi-Fi 5), though it still offers many of the same specs as the Hero 12, including the same 8:7 sensor. Read our review.

    • No REI guide would be complete without a sleeping bag. While there are plenty of great options on sale, REI Co-op’s Trailmade 20 Sleeping Bag is down to just $82.93 (about $36 off) at REI. The sleeping bag is rated to keep you warm in temperatures as low as 21 degrees Fahrenheit, with a quilt construction, face muffler and draft tube, and a contoured hood that fits snuggly over your head. It also features a durable water repellent finish and includes a stuff sack, so you can pack it down and throw it in your bag.
    • It’s that time of year when the sun rises late and sets early, so you’ll need a solid light source to get around your campsite. The Nite Ize Radiant 314 Rechargeable Lantern is currently down to $31.73 (about $13 off) at REI. The lantern provides 314 lumens of brightness, an impact-resistant design, and an IPX4 rating for water resistance. The lantern can also run up to 96 hours on a single charge, while the built-in power bank can provide an extra boost of power to your phone in a pinch.
    • The JBL Vibe Beam 2 have returned to their lowest price of around $37.95 ($27 off) at REI, Amazon, and Best Buy. The affordable wireless earbuds offer noise cancellation and a helpful transparency mode that allows outside noise to pass through, so you can stay aware of your surroundings. Meanwhile, its IP54 rating provides water- and dust-resistance, while the wireless earbuds promise up to 10 hours of continuous listening, or 30 hours with the included charging case.
