Ryzen AI 5 430 surfaces on CrossMark with minor performance increase – NotebookCheck.net News
Another upcoming AMD CPU, the Ryzen AI 5 430, has been spotted online. Like other Gorgon Point SKUs, it essentially offers a minor spec bump over its Strix Point counterpart.
After AMD’s upcoming Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, Ryzen AI 9 465 and Ryzen AI 7 450, another Gorgon Point CPU has surfaced online. So far, most of them have been refreshed Strix Point CPUs with an incremental spec bump. Spotted by noted X leaker @Olrak29_, the Ryzen AI 5 430 appears to be the lowest-end Gorgon Point CPU to launch this generation.
It was spotted on BAPco’s CrossMark database, where it scored 1,526 points overall. The listing says the Ryzen AI 5 430 has a total of four CPU cores and eight threads. If the last-gen Ryzen AI 5 330 is any reference, it will likely launch with a 1+3 configuration with one Zen 5 and three Zen 5c cores. Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t state other key specs such as base/boost clocks and TDP.
As tested, the CPU is accompanied by a Radeon 840M iGPU and 64 GB of DDR5-5600 system memory. Performance-wise, the Ryzen AI 5 430 is about 13% faster than the Ryzen AI 5 330, which scored 1,347 points in the same benchmark. The new chip’s real-world performance will definitely be higher because the Gorgon Point sample tested above is likely a pre-production sample.
