Brunson has arguably been the player of the NBA Cup, and he’s on fire right now. He scored a season-high 40 points to help the Knicks down the Magic, and has now dropped at least 30 in four straight games – and four straight NBA Cup games. Despite trailing the Pistons in the Eastern Conference standings, a blistering run of nine wins in 10 have put the league on notice. However, 3-point shooting has been a bed-rock of their success, and the Spurs held the Thunder to a season-low 41.3% from the field.
