Google Photos is coming to your Samsung TV next year

Nano Banana-powered image editing is also on the cards.

    Samsung

Samsung TVs are set to receive a big upgrade in 2026 that will let users view their best memories on the big screen. The company today announced plans to bring Google Photos to its smart TVs and monitors to let users access their library from the couch.

In addition to letting users scroll through their photos and videos, Google Photos on Samsung TVs will organize memories by people, places, and moments, making it easy to view highlights at a glance. It will also integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion to surface key memories on the Daily+ and Daily Board screens.

The rollout will start with Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup early next year, bringing the Memories feature to the new models first. Samsung has confirmed that older TVs and monitors will receive the feature via a software update later in the year.

Transform your memories with Nano Banana

Samsung also plans to introduce a Nano Banana-powered “Create with AI” feature to its TVs later in 2026. This will give users access to themed templates to create and transform images, Remix their photos with new art styles, and even turn stills into short videos.

Talking about the integration, Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Consumer Experience Team at the Visual Display Business of Samsung Electronics, said, “Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal. Through this partnership, we help users rediscover and relive cherished moments by bringing to light the stories behind their photos — right from the comfort of their living room.”

The Google Photos integration will let users do more than just watch shows and movies on their Samsung TVs. From revisiting family moments to experimenting with creative edits, users will be able to experience their memories in a bigger, more interactive way, all without leaving their couch.

Is your TV wall mount dead? Displace Hub wants to prove it at CES

CES 2026 demos aim to show suction mounting plus battery power for a wire-free setup.

Displace wants to make wall-mounting a TV feel less like a weekend project. Ahead of CES 2026, it announced Displace Hub, a wall mounting system the company says can turn “any TV” into a truly wireless, smart display you can put on the wall in under 10 seconds.

The promise is a clean break from brackets, drilled holes, and the cable spaghetti that comes after. Displace says the Hub uses its active-loop suction to attach a TV to “any surface,” then relies on a built-in battery system so the screen can stay up without a visible power cord. It also says you can reposition the TV just as quickly.
