HUAWEI MatePad 12X (2026) to be available in Malaysia soon

Huawei is set to introduce the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) alongside the next-generation HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro. Designed for creators, professionals and students who rely on mobility without sacrificing capability, the new tablet and stylus combination is positioned to deliver a more natural, intuitive and PC-level productivity experience for modern, on-the-go lifestyles.

The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) builds on Huawei’s vision of transforming tablets into true productivity tools, introducing PC-level functionality that allows users to handle demanding workloads from a single portable device. With pre-installed PC-level WPS Office 3.0, the tablet supports advanced document features such as editable charts, document insertion and complex mathematical formulas, enabling users to manage data-heavy tasks more efficiently.

Charts copied between documents remain fully editable with real-time synchronisation, while attachments can be embedded directly into files for more organised reporting and presentation workflows. When paired with the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse, the tablet can function as a compact workstation suitable for multitasking, content planning and detailed document editing.

Designed to support modern mobile workstyles, the HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) combines a refined, lightweight form factor with enhanced performance powered by HarmonyOS. Its 12-inch Ultra-clear PaperMatte Display offers a glare-free, smooth viewing experience that remains clearly visible even under bright sunlight, making it well-suited for editing visuals in cafés, reviewing scripts between shoots or drafting ideas while travelling. The tablet’s seamless multi-device interaction and smooth multitasking further reinforce its role as a dependable companion for creators who work beyond traditional office environments.

Complementing the tablet is the all-new HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, which introduces a more precise and intelligent stylus experience designed to transform how ideas are captured and refined. Featuring ultra-low latency, 16,384 levels of pressure sensitivity and improved motion sensing, the stylus delivers a writing and sketching experience that feels natural and responsive. Paired with the MatePad’s upgraded PaperMatte Display, the interaction offers a pen-to-paper feel with reduced glare, supporting long creative sessions without fatigue.

The HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro also adds a new layer of intelligent interaction through gesture-based controls. A quick tap on the stylus tail, designed with the Star Ring, allows users to instantly launch preferred apps such as GoPaint or HUAWEI Notes, ensuring ideas can be captured the moment inspiration strikes. Rotate gestures enable precise control over brush strokes and line thickness, while a pinch action reveals a tactile radial menu for seamless tool switching, size adjustment and colour selection. Interchangeable pen tips, offered in three different options, further allow users to customise the writing or drawing feel to match their personal creative style.

Together, the MatePad 12 X (2026) and M-Pencil Pro are designed to support an end-to-end creative workflow. Users can sketch concepts during a morning café session, refine visuals with HUAWEI GoPaint between shoots, and later complete presentations or video edits using PC-level WPS Office 3.0 or Filmora, all within a single, streamlined ecosystem. This flexibility highlights Huawei’s ambition to redefine how tablets support the full creative journey, from ideation to execution.

The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) and HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro are set to launch in Malaysia soon and will be available through HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide, the HUAWEI Official Website, the HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, the HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada and the HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop. Early-bird purchasers can look forward to exclusive gifts, including a HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro worth RM599, a Bluetooth mouse worth RM149 and PC-level WPS Office 3.0 valued at RM299, bringing the total promotional value to RM1,047.

Full pricing and availability details will be revealed during the official announcement.
