Kojima Productions teams up with ASUS ROG for limited-edition Ludens gaming tablet and peripherals – NotebookCheck.net News

Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions has partnered with Asus Republic of Gamers to launch a Ludens-themed ROG Flow Z13-KJP gaming tablet and peripheral lineup, unveiled at CES 2026. Designed by Yoji Shinkawa, the limited-edition devices blend high-end gaming hardware with Kojima Productions’ signature “From Sapiens to Ludens” aesthetics, with pricing and release details yet to be announced.

Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions has officially partnered with Asus’ Republic of Gamers brand to showcase limited-edition gaming peripherals and a tablet, inspired by the studio’s iconic Ludens mascot.

As revealed at an Asus press release, this collaboration gave birth to the ROG Flow Z13-KJP tablet, the ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, the ROG Delta II-KJP headset, and the ROG Scabbard II XXL-KJP mouse mat, topped off by the slogan “For Ludens Who Dare.”

The best part is that this collaboration was spearheaded by Kojima Productions’ lead artist and character designer, Yoji Shinkawa. Shinkawa personally designed the peripherals and imbued each product with Ludens’ astronaut aesthetics, featuring angular cutouts, carbon fiber accents, and a color palette of striking white, gold, and grey.

Shinkawa explained the philosophy behind these design changes and said, “I wanted to create a gadget that belongs to Ludens, and I integrated that into this PC design. Parts are inspired by Ludens and has its essence.”

The ROG Flow Z13-KJP, a flexible 2-in-1 gaming tablet, is the centerpiece of this collaboration. It’s powered by AMD’s AI Max+ 395 ‘Strix Halo’ chip, a 13.4-inch “ROG Nebula” display – presumably, an IPS panel – with a 2.5K resolution and 180 Hz refresh rate.

The ROG Flow Z13-KJP boasts a detachable keyboard with extended protrusions that rest your arms and wrists. It gives the gaming tablet a bold, complementary look. To top it all off, it comes with a heavy-duty, utilitarian white carrying case, similar to the cargo cases in Death Stranding.

Complementing the Ludens-inspired lineup is the ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, featuring an ergonomic design, a 65g build, a 42,000 DPI ROG AimPoint Pro sensor, and ROG Optical Micro Switches. The Kojima Productions collaboration ROG Keris II Origin features a striking white body, blacked-out click buttons, a gold scroll wheel, and gold side accents, with bold text that screams “For Ludens who Dare.”

For more Asus products, you can check out the video above.

The headset created via this collaboration is the ROG Delta II-KJP headset, which boasts 50mm titanium-plated drivers and a super-wideband microphone. The headset features a gold Ludens logo on the side cups, textured ear cups, and a sparkling gold hinge design. The headset is etched with text on the left ear cup, which reads, “CAUTION: Comfort may lead to just one more gaming syndrome.”

Last but not least is the ROG Scabbard II XL-KJP mouse mat, which measures a massive 900 x 400mm. It’s a soft touch cloth with a non-slip rubber base. The entire top surface of the mouse mat features a Ludens-inspired being meticulously crafted by Shinkawa.

As for pricing, release date, and availability, everything has been kept under wraps. Reports suggest that the Kojima Productions X Asus ROG lineup will drop in the first quarter of 2026.
