Spotify is rolling out a new feature that brings a new way to learn more about the tracks you listen to. The music platform has introduced About the Song, a feature that brings stories and context directly into the listening experience on the mobile app.
Instead of just hearing a song, you can now read short, swipeable cards that explain what inspired the music, interesting facts, and behind-the-scenes moments while you stream.
About the Song is available in beta for Premium listeners on iOS and Android and is rolling out in English language in U.S., U.K., Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia.
Explore the story behind the songs you love on Spotify
The story cards appear in the Now Playing View for supported tracks. Once you open that screen, you simply scroll down to find the About the Song card, then swipe through the series of cards to explore the track’s story while it plays.
Spotify says the stories are summarized from verified sources to give you more context about the music. You can also share feedback through the card to help Spotify improve the feature over time.
With this update, Spotify will help you connect deeply with the art and artists behind your favorite tracks. It has been a busy few days for Spotify, with several updates rolling out across the app. Just yesterday, the company announced that users in the U.S. and the U.K. will soon be able to buy paper books directly through Spotify.
The platform also introduced new audiobook tools, including Page Match, which lets listeners scan a page from a physical book and jump straight to that moment in the audiobook.
Earlier this week, Spotify rolled out lyrics translations worldwide and added support for viewing lyrics offline for all users, not just Premium subscribers. You can also try Spotify’s recently launched Prompted Playlist feature, which lets you create playlists just by typing a prompt, if you reside in the US or Canada.

You Asked: Is Apple TV 4K Still a Good Buy? Bravia 9 or OLED for Bright Rooms?
On today’s episode of You Asked: Is it still worth buying an Apple TV 4K in 2026? Is the LG C5 the better choice over a Sony OLED? And in a bright room, are you going with the Bravia 9, or letting Samsung’s S95F OLED take on that glare instead?
Is it still worth buying an Apple TV 4K in 2026?
Hosting the Super Bowl? This 77″ OLED TV deal is the upgrade people will notice
Samsung’s 77-inch S90F OLED drops $1,500 ahead of the big game, and it’s a huge screen for the money
If you’re going to upgrade your TV for the Super Bowl, this is the kind of deal that actually changes the experience, not just the number on the spec sheet. A 77-inch OLED is the “everyone on the couch can see everything clearly” size, and OLED is the tech that makes the biggest difference on broadcast-style content: strong contrast, clean highlights, and better-looking motion in fast action.
Right now, the Samsung 77-inch S90F Series OLED (2025) is $1,999.99, which is $1,500 off the $3,499.99 compared value. The key detail is the deadline: the deal ends February 9, 2026, so this is very much a “plan your setup now” situation.
YouTube now lets you watch content auto-dubbed in your own language
YouTube expands auto-dubbing to 27 languages with more natural speech and improved lip sync
YouTube is improving its auto-dubbing feature further to make it easier for viewers to watch videos in languages they actually understand. Auto-dubbing uses AI to translate and replace a video’s spoken audio with a dubbed version in another language.
The feature now supports 27 languages, and viewers can set a preferred language in YouTube’s settings. When a dubbed version is available, YouTube will automatically serve it in the selected language. So if a video exists in another language, YouTube wants it to feel accessible the moment you press play.
