realme has officially launched the realme Note 80 in Malaysia, introducing a new entry-level smartphone focused on durability and long battery life. Priced at just RM399, the device targets first-time smartphone buyers, students and gig economy workers who need a reliable device for daily tasks.
The realme Note 80 positions itself as a tough and long-lasting companion by combining military-grade durability, a massive battery and efficient performance within the affordable segment.
ArmorShell Protection for Enhanced Durability
Durability is one of the key highlights of the realme Note 80. The device features ArmorShell Protection and is certified with MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance, ensuring improved protection against drops and daily wear.
The phone incorporates several structural improvements, including raised corner protection with an additional 0.23mm height, internal foam cushioning to safeguard critical components and a reinforced glass panel. These enhancements deliver up to 300% improved bend resistance and support drop protection of up to 1.8 metres.
The device also carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, protecting it from splashes and environmental exposure. Additional practical features include wet-hand touch support and a speaker water ejection function that removes moisture using sound vibration.
Massive 6,300mAh Battery
Powering the realme Note 80 is a large 6,300mAh battery designed to deliver extended usage for everyday tasks. According to realme, the battery can provide up to 740 hours of standby time, 108 hours of music playback, 15 hours of YouTube streaming, 19 hours of WhatsApp usage or around 7 hours of gaming on titles such as Free Fire.
The battery also features realme’s Bionic Repair Technology, which helps maintain 80% battery health after more than 1,000 charging cycles. This ensures long-term durability with a projected lifespan of up to 48 months even under extreme temperature conditions ranging from –20°C to 50°C.
The device supports 15W fast charging and reverse charging, allowing users to power other devices when needed.
Smooth Performance with AI Optimisation
Under the hood, the realme Note 80 is powered by an octa-core T7250 processor built on a 12nm process. The chipset is paired with up to 18GB dynamic RAM and 256GB storage, delivering smooth multitasking and responsive performance for everyday applications.
The device runs on realme UI based on Android 15 and introduces NEXT AI optimisation features that intelligently manage performance, battery usage and system efficiency. The phone is also certified for 48-month fluency, ensuring long-term smooth performance.
