The 2026 BAFTA Awards nominations have been revealed, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 receiving 12 nominations, including Best Game.

Sandfall Interactive’s debut title was also recognised in the narrative, game design, artistic and audio achievement categories, as well as both performance awards.

Ben Starr and Jennifer English were nominated for Performer in a Leading Role, while Charlie Cox and Kirsty Rider were listed in the supporting role category.

AdHoc Studio’s episodic title Dispatch received nine nominations, including Best Game, music, and debut game, as well as both performance categories.

Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Yōtei was also nominated for Best Game and appeared in seven more categories, including technical achievement, music, animation, and performance in a leading role for Erika Ishii.

17 of the 42 studios nominated for this year’s awards are first-timers, including Dogubomb, Embark Studios, and Sandfall Interactive.

“Today’s nominations recognise 42 outstanding games that highlight the very best of the global games industry,” said BAFTA Games Committee chair Tara Saunders.

“This year’s nominations reflect an industry reshaping itself – with a vibrant mix of established studios standing alongside a wide range of independent studios, and a number of development teams earning nominations for the first time.”

The winners will be announced on April 17, 2026, at the 22nd BAFTA Game Awards in London.
