    My top picks: If you’re looking for an easy way to keep an eye out on one room in your home and money is tight, the Arlo Essential Indoor Pan Tilt Security Camera 2K is practically an impulse buy at $15. Be aware, however, that you won’t be able to record events without an Arlo Secure subscription plan, and those start at $10/month or $95.88 per year. The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 costs $35 more, but its local storage option eliminates the need for a subscription, and its pan/tilt motor can patrol an entire room.

    Black Friday outdoor security camera deals

    My top picks: The Blink Outdoor 4 XR is a terrific little outdoor camera that will run for a more year on AA lithium batteries, and this deal bundles it with the Sync Module XR that can support up to 10 Blink cameras (with two using its extended range function). The Sync Module XR itself sells for $70, so getting it with a camera for $42 is a steal. If you’re looking for a multi-camera system with local network storage, it’s hard to beat the Baseus 1 Pro, which includes two high-definition cameras and a NAS box with 16GB of storage that can be expanded to 16TB.

    My top picks: The $140 Eufy Floodlight Camera E340 is a fantastic patio protector with dual high-res cameras on a pan/tilt motor and a bright (and dimmable) LED panel. Plug in a microSD card for storage–or buy the Eufy HomeBase 3, on sale at Amazon for 33% off–and you won’t need a cloud subscription. If you’re in the Ring smart home ecosystem, the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is an excellent buy at $100.

    When is Black Friday?

    Black Friday officially starts Friday, November 28 (the day after the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S.). But retailers are increasingly reluctant to wait that long for the shopping event to start, and as you can see from the lists above, there are already some great deals to be had. If you see one that’s tempting, you might want to snag it now in case stocks disappear.

    What is Cyber Monday? And when is it?

    Retailers created Cyber Monday as a shopping holiday to spur online sales immediately after the Thanksgiving holiday. Many of the deals offered on Black Friday are carried over to Cyber Monday, but some are exclusive to that day. This year, Cyber Monday falls on December 1.
