Critically acclaimed, Steam Deck-playable narrative games bundle gets 80% discount – NotebookCheck.net News

    ⓘ Steam

It’s unclear how long will this deal last. Pictured: an edited picture showing one of the included games running on the Steam Deck.

Life is Strange Remastered Collection is on sale. Featuring the first game of the series and its prequel, this bundle retails for $39.99, but Green Man Gaming is offering it with a hefty 80% discount, dropping the price to $8.

Green Man Gaming is offering a massive discount on Life is Strange Remastered Collection. Retailing for $39.99, the price of this game bundle is now slashed by 80%.

This made the collection drop to $8 on Green Man Gaming, and the platform is offering a Steam key. For those unaware, the bundle has the remastered versions of the original Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The remastered versions launched in 2022, while the regular versions were released in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

While the gameplay remains unchanged from the original releases, there are enhancements to the character models, facial animations, and environments. The remasters also feature improved lighting, and with these upgrades, developer Deck Nine wanted to offer a more refined story-driven experience.

Of course, the remasters didn’t get good feedback at launch, and most of the negative reviews were due to technical issues. The good part is that Deck Nine has released many patches since then. These patches improved both stability and performance. Currently, both remastered games run relatively well on most decently equipped systems (such as the Geekom AX8 Max that’s curr. $638.99 on Amazon), and both have the Steam Deck Playable compatibility rating.

For those who are new to the series, the original releases are critically acclaimed games. They are narrative-driven, with branching storylines shaped by player choices. Exploration and environmental interactions also form the core experience, and the consequences from one episode ripple across the entire game.

Those who have already played the originals, the remasters, especially at this discounted bundled price, are a good way to revisit Arcadia Bay with enhanced visuals. More about Life is Strange Remastered Collection can be found in the video attached below.
