DJI has officially launched the Osmo Action 6, its most advanced all-in-one action camera yet, setting a new benchmark in creative imaging with industry-first features like a variable aperture, a new 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor, and significantly enhanced low-light performance.

The Osmo Action 6 is DJI’s first-ever variable aperture action camera, offering f/2.0–f/4.0 flexibility for improved low-light results and creative exposure control. Its custom 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with 2.4 μm fused large pixels captures exceptional clarity and depth, while the new Starburst mode accentuates light sources into dramatic star-shaped highlights in cityscapes. The camera’s Auto Aperture intelligently adjusts exposure across changing environments, from bright outdoor scenes to dim night shots. Optional accessories — like the Macro Lens for close-ups and the FOV Boost Lens expanding field of view to 182° — further enhance creative freedom.

At the heart of the Osmo Action 6 is its square-format 1/1.1-inch sensor, offering 13.5 stops of dynamic range and 4K/120fps recording in 4:3, providing crisp, cinematic video even in extreme low light. SuperNight mode captures 4K/60fps footage with exceptional shadow detail and vivid color reproduction, while 10-bit D-Log M preserves highlights and color grading flexibility. The new 4K Custom Mode allows creators to shoot once and crop later for different aspect ratios — perfect for content tailored across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Built for dynamic storytelling, the Osmo Action 6 supports native 4K/120fps slow motion and up to 32x Super Slow Motion playback at 1080p, offering silky-smooth cinematic effects. It is IP68-rated waterproof up to 20 meters (extendable to 60 meters with a case) and features a color temperature sensor and pressure gauge for accurate underwater color correction. Operating even in extreme conditions down to -20°C, the camera delivers up to 4 hours of battery life, fast-charges to 80% in just 22 minutes, and includes 50GB of built-in storage. Gesture control and subject tracking add hands-free convenience for vloggers and athletes alike.

Professional-level features elevate the experience further: RockSteady 3.0/3.0+, HorizonBalancing, and HorizonSteady stabilization systems ensure steady 4K/60fps footage even under intense motion, keeping horizons level within ±45° or even across full 360° rolls. 2x Lossless Zoom maintains 4K sharpness, while Natural Wide FOV minimizes distortion for more natural perspectives. Additional creative tools include Film Tone profiles, Portrait Mode with natural skin-tone optimization, and Subject Tracking to keep moving subjects perfectly centered in frame.

For audio, DJI’s OsmoAudio ecosystem supports connection to up to two DJI transmitters (Mic 2, Mic 3, or Mic Mini) for dual-source recording such as interviews or voiceovers. Its triple-microphone array with intelligent noise reduction ensures clear stereo sound, even in windy environments.
