DJI Osmo Pocket 4 but with interchangeable cameras: New Insta360 Pocket vlogging camera leaks – NotebookCheck.net News
Early leaks suggest that Insta360 is looking to muscle in on DJI’s vlogging camera niche. While DJI is expected to launch the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 4 Pro soon, the so-called Insta360 Pocket has emerged in hands-on images.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 and its rumoured Osmo Pocket 4 Pro sibling are taking a while to arrive. Initially anticipated to be replace the Osmo Pocket 3 in December, the pair have now been pushed back into late Q1 or early Q2 2026. Before DJI releases either of those vlogging cameras, evidence that Insta360 is preparing to introduce an alternative has emerged across several leaks.
To start with, patent images emerged showcasing what was rumoured to be the Insta360 Pocket. As the first image below shows, the so-called Insta360 Pocket adopts a modular design much like DJI’s Osmo Nano before it (curr. $299 on Amazon), albeit reimagined as a vlogging camera. Subsequently, several sources have obtained hands-on photos that highlight Insta360’s modular design in greater detail.
At this stage, it is unclear whether these hands-on images represent a prototype or a retail unit. Nonetheless, their appearance all but confirms that Insta360 intends to challenge DJI in another theatre after the pair battled over dominance within the action camera market last year. Unfortunately, specifications remain unknown for now. By the looks of things, the Insta360 Pocket could support multiple camera heads, which would help Insta360 differentiate its camera from DJI’s Osmo Pocket 3 and Osmo Pocket 4 series.
