Chinese robotics manufacturer Dobot has unveiled one of its most interesting products to date: the Rover X1. Priced at the equivalent of just around $1050, the Rover X1 costs barely more than many advanced robot vacuums and mops, yet it promises far greater versatility.

Thanks to its dual-vision tracking system, the robot can perceive its surroundings and navigate the real world. This allows, for example, the Rover X1 to be used as a mobile security camera and patrolling a home when no one is there. With a gimbal mounted on its back, the robot can hold an action camera and follow a person in order to record vlogging videos.
