Doogee’s next rugged Android smartphone has a design element also thought to feature in a prominent rival to Apple’s next-gen iPhones. It is reportedly found alongside a 120Hz display, a night vision rear camera and an extra-large battery in the S200 Max. It might also have expandable storage to go with up to 16GB of RAM.

The Max version of the Doogee S200 is now thought to retain its predecessor’s secondary display – albeit one of a different shape and placement, being a 1.3-inch square screen next to its rear cameras.

The resulting camera hump is depicted as looking a lot like that of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra – or its upcoming “16 Pro” successor, according to the latest rumors.

That OEM’s next-gen Android flagship is less likely to have a bulky, IP68/IP69K/MIL-STD-810H chassis than the S200 Max, which also apparently has a metallic-effect rear panel in gray or pale gold.

The “16 Pro” (and/or “Pro Max“) might have generationally improved battery specs, but, again, might fall short of the upcoming Doogee handset’s colossal 22,000mAh estimated capacity – based on cutting-edge silicon-carbon technology, no less.

The “Max” is thought to have most of the S200’s core attributes otherwise, its 120Hz 6.72-inch LCD display driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC. It might have a new selling point of a powerful “dual” flashlight integrated into its top edge, which can be set to emit patterns such as those for an SOS at need.

The S200 Max might also have a microSD card slot for up to 2TB of storage: another feature probably not destined for the Xiaomi 16 series.

The supposed new S200-series flagship’s availability is unknown at this time, although it is thought to cost $559.99 with 16GB of RAM on its launch.

Meanwhile, the vanilla S200 is now discounted to $349.98 on Amazon.
