ECS Liva Z mini PCs arrive with Intel Twin Lake and AMD Hawk Point processors in ultra-compact enclosures – NotebookCheck.net News

ECS has no intention of sitting on the sidelines at CES 2026, having introduced a pack of new mini PCs which prioritize compactness. With processors ranging from quad-core Twin Lake CPUs from Team Blue to Zen 4-based Hawk Point APUs from Team Red, ECS has something for everyone in its revamped Liva Z lineup of mini PCs.

ECS Liva has announced a bunch of new mini PCs at CES 2026. Ranging from ultra-compact units with six-watt Intel Twin Lake chips to powerful octa-core Hawk Point APUs, ECS Liva appears to be all set to cater to consumers and businesses with varying compute requirements.

Liva Z4 and Z4F: Compact and affordable

First up, we have the Liva Z4 mini PC powered by the Intel N150 processor. With four cores and four threads, the N150 should be powerful enough for lightweight workloads such as browsing, office tasks, and powering a point-of-sales PC. A single SODIMM slot is present, which can accommodate up to 16 GB of DDR4-2666 memory, while an M.2 2280 slot takes care of storage requirements. The I/O on offer is as follows:

    • Dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
    • Dual USB 2.0 Type-A
    • Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 5
    • HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort
    • Audio jack

The Z4F, on the other hand, is noticeably larger (0.7l vs 0.33l), although still admirably compact. This variant will be equipped with much more powerful chips, up to the Intel Core 3 N355 octa-core CPU. Other details include a single DDR5 SODIMM slot, M.2 2280 slot for storage, WiFi 6E. The product page for the Z4F is not yet live, which renders its I/O details unclear.

Liva Z6 Plus: AMD Hawk Point lives on for affordable performance

Finally, we have the Z6 Plus, which packs the relatively powerful AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 APU of the aging Hawk Point family. With eight Zen 4 cores and sixteen threads, the Ryzen 7 APU should be more than powerful enough for the majority of consumer workloads and even some moderately intensive tasks.

Like the Z4F, the product page for the Z6 Plus has not yet been updated, leaving us with no concrete details regarding the I/O. But courtesy of TechPowerUp, we do know that the Z6 Plus will feature dual DDR5 SODIMM slots, M.2 2280 Gen 4 slot, M.2 2230 for WiFi/BT cards, and 2.5G Ethernet. At just 0.6 litres, the Z6 Plus is plenty compact as well.

    Pricing and availability

Pricing and availability details are unclear as of this writing, although more details should be available soon enough. For those who need a Hawk Point mini PC right away, the GMKtec K12 is currently available for $600 on Amazon.
