Epic Games Store: Leak reveals upcoming free game before official announcement – NotebookCheck.net News
The Epic Games Store is giving away a new game across Android, iOS, macOS and Windows until next week. While it has indicated free PC game plans for next week, a leaker claims to have discovered the storefront’s mobile free game plans ahead of schedule.
The Epic Games Store kicked off a new round of giveaways yesterday across Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. As we have covered separately, the storefront has discounted Monument Valley to $0.00, having pulled plans to include The Battle of Polytopia until next week. On top of that, Epic Games announced which other games it will be giving away next week.
However, it only provided an overview of its plans for next week’s free PC games. By contrast, Epic Games still attempts to keep its mobile giveaway plans a secret until they arrive. As is often the case, u/MeguminShiro appears to have got ahead of the popular storefront by revealing its forthcoming free mobile game.
Posting on Reddit, u/MeguminShiro suggests that Epic Games will replace Monument Valley with its successor, Monument Valley 2 (curr. $4.99 on Amazon). While not as popular as its predecessor, Monument Valley 2 averages 4.9/5 from over 1 million downloads on the Google Play Store and 4.6/5 on the Apple App Store. On top of that, next week’s rumoured giveaway sits at #28 on Apple’s top paid Puzzle game rankings globally. Next week’s mobile giveaway should be available to claim from around 15:00 UTC on September 11.
