    Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26 to be available 18 March from RM1199

    Samsung Malaysia has officially introduced the new Galaxy A series, consisting the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26, they all come equipped with Galaxy AI with some iterative hardware upgrades over their predecessors.

    The Galaxy A56 receives the most upgrades among the pack, powered by an Exynos 1580 processor and available in storage options of 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB, it has the same 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display but has an updated Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and boosted peak brightness of 1900 nits, the body continues to be IP67 rated against water and dust, while its 5000mAh battery can now support faster 45W wired charging.

    Galaxy A56 First Impressions

    In terms of cameras, the Galaxy A56 has the same hardware as the Galaxy A55, including a 50MP wide with OIS, 12MP ultrawide and 5MP macro cameras, but it is expected to have slightly better looking shots than before with the phone’s new ISP, the front camera takes 12MP stills and records 4K videos at 30 fps and supports 10-bit HDR.

    As for the Galaxy A36, it has the same screen and almost similar hardware dimensions as the Galaxy A56 though it comes with a plastic frame for its body construction, it thankfully remains IP67 water and dust resistant. The Galaxy A36 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor paired to either 6GB RAM+128GB storage or 12GB RAM+256GB storage, it has a smaller sensor size 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and 5MP macro camera, its 5000mAh battery will also support 45W wired fast charging.

    Finally, the Galaxy A26 gets even more downgraded compared to the other two with last year’s Exynos 1380 processor, paired to either 6GB RAM+128GB storage or 8GB RAM+256GB storage, its 6.7-inch screen uses a Super AMOLED FHD+ panel with 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, the main 50MP camera is an even smaller sensor size at 1/2.76″ albeit having OIS, flanked by 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras, its 5000mAh battery takes a slower 25W charging input.

    The new Galaxy A series will be available for purchase starting 18th March 2025 onwards, and for a limited time till 31 March 2025, customers will receive double storage upgrade, 1-year extended warranty and exclusive rewards when purchasing either models.

    The Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26 will all receive 7 years of OS and security upgrades.
