We’re currently testing the MacBook Pro M5, but it’s a little too early to make any definitive statements on how it performs. We would, however, expect it to be faster than the MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 (2024), which we described as “a pro-grade portable that impresses in every area.”

The latest model also includes a more powerful GPU with a neural accelerator built into each core. This will help to supercharge AI performance, although Apple Intelligence is still in its infancy, so you might be hedging your bets with regards to making the most of the technology.
