Honda CR-V Hybrid Lineup Expanded in Malaysia From RM178,200

Honda Malaysia has officially launched the new Honda CR-V in Malaysia, marking a significant step in the brand’s hybrid expansion strategy. For the first time, the CR-V lineup now features two hybrid variants within a single model range — the new e:HEV E and the flagship e:HEV RS — reinforcing Honda’s commitment to making electrified mobility more accessible to Malaysian customers.

The CR-V continues to serve as a core pillar in Honda Malaysia’s portfolio, and the latest update further strengthens its position in the competitive SUV segment with enhanced hybrid offerings, refined styling and expanded technology features.

    2.0L e:HEV Powertrain with 184PS and 335Nm

At the heart of both hybrid variants is Honda’s advanced 2.0-litre e:HEV powertrain, delivering a combined output of 184PS and 335Nm of torque. Designed to meet the performance demands of an SUV, the system offers smooth acceleration and efficient fuel consumption.

The hybrid system intelligently switches between three drive modes — EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive — automatically selecting the most efficient configuration based on real-time driving conditions. The e:HEV variants also introduce an exclusive Individual Drive Mode, allowing drivers to customise throttle response and overall driving dynamics for a more personalised experience.

In addition to the hybrid options, Honda continues to offer a 1.5-litre turbocharged variant for buyers who prefer a conventional petrol powertrain.

Updated Design and New Colour Option

The new CR-V receives exterior and interior refinements to elevate its premium SUV appeal. A new Blazing Red Pearl colour joins the lineup, adding a bold visual option to the range.

Hybrid variants are distinguished by 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels, while the turbocharged variant comes with 18-inch Sparkle Silver alloy wheels. Inside the flagship e:HEV RS, the cabin features a darker hairline film finish on the dashboard and RS-embroidered seats, reinforcing its sporty positioning.

All variants now come standard with Honda Authorised Solar and Security tint film by ECOTINT, enhancing cabin comfort and protection from heat and UV exposure.

    Advanced Infotainment and Digital Key

The new CR-V is equipped with a 9-inch Advanced Display Audio system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Google Audio Services are integrated, enabling hands-free Google Assistant, real-time navigation via Google Maps and access to apps through Google Play.

For the first time in Malaysia, Honda introduces a Digital Key feature for the CR-V. Owners can lock, unlock and start the vehicle using their mobile device. The Honda CONNECT app also integrates remote functions such as Remote Window Close and Remote Power Tailgate operation, adding further convenience.

    Enhanced Safety Technologies

The new CR-V strengthens its safety credentials with additional driver assistance systems, including:

Blind Spot Information (BSI), which monitors diagonal rear blind spots and alerts drivers via illuminated indicators in the side mirrors.

Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), which detects approaching vehicles from either side when reversing out of parking spaces, providing audible and visual alerts to enhance safety.

These features complement Honda’s existing advanced safety systems, reinforcing the CR-V’s position as a technologically advanced and family-friendly SUV.

    Pricing in Malaysia

The new Honda CR-V is available at the following on-the-road prices without insurance:

    CR-V e:HEV E (2.0L Hybrid) – RM178,200
    CR-V 1.5L Turbo V – RM181,900
    CR-V e:HEV RS (2.0L Hybrid) – RM195,900

With the introduction of two hybrid variants, Honda Malaysia is clearly accelerating its electrification strategy while maintaining the CR-V’s appeal as a versatile, practical and premium SUV choice for Malaysian drivers.
