HONOR 400 Lite goes official for RM1299

HONOR Malaysia has officially launched the HONOR 400 Lite nationwide, priced at RM1,299.

This device is being hailed as an affordable “iPhone killer” due to its combination of flagship-level features and exceptional value. It integrates advanced AI features into both photography and display technology, while also boasting a sleek and durable design, a powerful battery, and intuitive smart functions.

Despite its slim profile at 7.29mm and weight of just 171g, the HONOR 400 Lite is built tough. It is certified with SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and includes IP64 wet-hand touch technology for smooth screen use even when damp.

The 6.7-inch AMOLED display supports 16.7 million colours, offers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, ensuring visibility under direct sunlight. It features a 120Hz refresh rate, 394 PPI, and 1080×2412 resolution, delivering stunning visuals. Eye protection is also prioritized with 3840Hz PWM dimming and Circadian Night Display technology that reduces eye strain and supports better sleep patterns.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra octa-core processor, the device delivers efficient multitasking and high-speed performance. It houses a 5230mAh battery, and supports 35W HONOR SuperCharge, which charges up to 52% in 30 minutes and fully charges in just 73 minutes. The battery retains over 80% of its capacity even after 1,000 charging cycles, ensuring long-lasting reliability.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the HONOR 400 Lite’s dedicated AI Button, which serves as both a camera control and intelligent vision tool. A long press of the button opens the camera, a quick press takes a photo, and a long hold begins video recording. In professional shooting mode, users can tap to focus and slide to zoom with ease.

The AI Button also integrates Google Lens, allowing real-time identification of plants, animals, artwork, and text, as well as translation of over 100 languages, solving math problems, or scanning products for shopping.

Additionally, the HONOR 400 Lite features Google Gemini for smart assistance in tasks like composing emails, planning events, and learning. Using text, voice, photos, or the camera, Gemini offers context-aware overlays and live help, adapting to the user’s style for a seamless multitasking experience.

Running on MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15, the HONOR 400 Lite includes intelligent tools like AI Eraser, which removes unwanted objects from images, and AI Outpainting, which extends images beyond their frame while preserving natural detail. AI Translate allows real-time language translation, and Magic Portal enables users to drag text or images into relevant apps like Maps or social media, boosting productivity.

The 108MP main camera on the HONOR 400 Lite features an f/1.75 aperture for ultra-sharp images, even in low-light conditions. It supports 3X lossless zoom for capturing detailed shots and includes a 5MP wide and depth camera for enhanced bokeh and depth in portraits. A 16MP front-facing camera with a built-in Selfie Light ensures clear selfies in all lighting scenarios.

The HONOR 400 Lite is available in Velvet Grey and Marrs Green and comes with 24GB of RAM (including 12GB of HONOR RAM Turbo) and 256GB of storage. Customers can purchase it at HONOR Stores nationwide and through authorized dealers.

To give users extra value, each purchase of the HONOR 400 Lite includes a complimentary 1-Year Extended Warranty worth RM99 and an RM200 rebate. From 25 April to 24 July 2025, customers who visit any HONOR Store or authorized dealer, snap a photo of the HONOR 400 Lite, and post it on social media using the hashtag #HONOR400LiteMY can receive RM200 off the purchase upon successful verification and validation at checkout.

The HONOR 400 Lite is also available through major telcos. With Maxis Postpaid 109, users can get the phone for free by visiting the Maxis website. U Mobile offers the device for free as well, through its U Postpaid 98 and U Family 128 plans, with full details available on U Mobile’s official site. Yes 5G customers can own the HONOR 400 Lite for just RM5 with the Infinite+ Basic Plan, which is priced at RM58 per month. This offer begins 2 May 2025 at all Yes stores, and more information can be found on the Yes website.

The HONOR 400 Lite is now available in Malaysia, offering flagship-level features, AI-powered tools, and stylish durability in a budget-friendly package.
