HONOR 400 series launches globally, retails from RM1899

HONOR has officially launched the all-new HONOR 400 Series, bringing next-gen AI imaging, flagship-grade hardware, and enhanced durability to the mid-range smartphone market.

Priced from RM1,899 to RM2,699, the HONOR 400 Series is designed to democratize advanced mobile photography and intelligent features, transforming each device into a personal photography studio.

Available in two models — the HONOR 400 and HONOR 400 Pro — the series is now open for pre-order until 29 May 2025. Customers who pre-order the HONOR 400 Pro will receive a complimentary Instax Mini LiPlay and a 1-year extended warranty worth RM1,097.

Meanwhile, pre-ordering the HONOR 400 comes with a free HONOR CHOICE Active Noise Cancelling Headphone and extended warranty, collectively worth RM898.

For a limited time, HONOR is also offering a free storage upgrade: customers purchasing the 256GB variant of the HONOR 400 will receive the 512GB version at no extra cost.

The pre-order is available via the HONOR official website, HONOR Experience Stores, Shopee, Lazada, and retail partners including Harvey Norman, Senheng, SenQ, and Urban Republic. Maxis postpaid customers can also pre-order the HONOR 400 Pro for RM30/month and the HONOR 400 512GB for RM25/month.

    HONOR 400 Pro

Designed to deliver outstanding camera performance, the HONOR 400 Series features a 200MP Super Sensing Main Camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS+EIS stabilization.

The 400 Pro adds a 50MP AI Telephoto Camera with Sony IMX856 sensor, supporting up to 50x zoom. On the front, both devices sport a 50MP portrait selfie camera enhanced by HONOR’s advanced portrait algorithm.

The AI-powered HONOR IMAGE ENGINE supports features like AI Portrait Snap, Harcourt Portrait 2.0, and AI Enhanced Portrait on the Pro, delivering studio-level portraiture. The Pro’s AI Super Zoom offers 15x to 50x range, while the standard HONOR 400 becomes the first smartphone to deliver 30x telephoto shots from its main camera.

    HONOR 400

In terms of video, the HONOR 400 Series introduces AI Image to Video, which converts photos into short 5-second videos via Google Cloud. Additional AI editing tools include HD Moving Photo, Moving Photo Collage, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Reflection Removal, AI Outpainting, AI Cutout, AI Upscale, and AI Face Tune.

Powering the experience is a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery designed for extreme environments and long-term durability, maintaining over 80% battery health after four years.

The HONOR 400 Pro supports 100W wired and 50W wireless SuperCharge, while the standard model supports 80W wired charging. The Pro is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, while the HONOR 400 holds an IP65 rating.

Performance-wise, the HONOR 400 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the HONOR 400 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with CPU Turbo X Game Engine for enhanced gaming capabilities. Both models sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000-nit peak brightness, and advanced eye comfort technologies, including 3840Hz PWM Dimming, Low Blue Light, Circadian Night Mode, AI Defocus Display, and Motion Sickness Relief.

The devices also support MagicOS 9.0 with powerful AI features such as AI Summary, AI Minutes, AI Correction, AI Format, and Live Translation. Google’s Gemini AI assistant is included for productivity and planning, while Magic Portal 2.0 enables contextual app launching with a simple knuckle gesture. HONOR also integrates on-device Deepfake Detection for added digital security.

The HONOR 400 Pro is available in Lunar Grey, Tidal Blue, and Midnight Black, priced at RM2,699 for the 24GB RAM (12GB+12GB Turbo) and 512GB ROM model. The HONOR 400 comes in Desert Gold, Tidal Blue, and Midnight Black, priced at RM1,899 for the 256GB version (with a free upgrade to 512GB) and RM2,199 for the native 512GB model. Nationwide availability begins 30 May 2025.
