iQOO showcases color-changing edition of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered iQOO 15 – NotebookCheck.net News
The iQOO 15 is set to launch as one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This flagship phone recently starred in a leaked hands-on video, showcasing a color-changing back, which has now been officially revealed by the company.
iQOO is gearing up to launch one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the iQOO 15. The company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date of this flagship phone, but with a recent teaser, it has showcased the color-changing edition of the smartphone.
This color-changing edition of the phone was recently revealed in a leaked hands-on video, and as iQOO notes, it will be called the “Lingyun” edition in China. If this color-changing variant of the flagship phones officially lands outside China, it will likely have a different name.
Regardless, as iQOO shows, the “Lingyun” edition will have a grayish outlook from normal angles. When looked at from certain angles, the back gains a two-tone design with pinkish-red highlights all over the back.
While the color-changing design of the iQOO 15 “Lingyun” edition will make it a unique-looking phone, this concept isn’t new. Realme, for example, launched the Realme 14 Pro Plus with a color-changing back, which reacts to the surrounding temperature.
iQOO’s implementation, on the other hand, is more dynamic, and paired with the RGB lights on the camera island, this color-changing edition should stand out from the upcoming flagships.
Other than showcasing the color-changing edition, iQOO hasn’t revealed anything else on the teaser post. However, per past leaks, this Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship will feature a large battery with over 7,000 mAh capacity and 100 W fast charging support (140 W Anker 737 power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon).
The iQOO 15 is also rumored to sport a 50 MP primary and 50 MP telephoto periscope on the back, and there should be an ultrawide sensor as well. As for the launch, it will likely happen near the end of October 2025, after Vivo releases the X300 series.
