Kingston expands NV3 SSD to M.2 2230 form factor
Kingston has introduced the NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2230 SSD — a new compact form factor joining its existing 2280 model. This latest addition offers a high-speed, energy-efficient storage solution tailored for thin laptops and portable gaming devices like handheld consoles.
The Kingston NV3 2230 features the compact M.2 2230 form factor, measuring just 22mm x 30mm x 2.3mm and weighing only 2.6g for the 500GB variant and 2.8g for the 1TB and 2TB versions. It uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface, ensuring high-speed data transfer.
It is available in three capacities: 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB. Read and write speeds vary by model, with the 500GB offering up to 5,000MB/s read and 3,000MB/s write speeds, the 1TB model reaching 6,000MB/s read and 4,000MB/s write, and the 2TB delivering up to 6,000MB/s read and 5,000MB/s write performance.
This SSD uses 3D NAND technology and offers strong endurance, with total bytes written (TBW) rated at 160TB for the 500GB version, 320TB for the 1TB, and 640TB for the 2TB.
It is built to withstand challenging environments, with an operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C, and a storage temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. The NV3 2230 is also resistant to vibration in non-operating states up to 20G (20–1000Hz) and has a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 2,000,000 hours.
Kingston backs the NV3 2230 SSD with a limited 5-year warranty and offers free technical support to ensure peace of mind.
