Midea unveils 2025/2026 product lineup in Malaysia

Midea, a global leader in smart home appliances, has unveiled a preview of its 2025/2026 product lineup at the Genting International Convention Centre, reinforcing its commitment to smart, energy-efficient, and user-friendly home solutions. The showcase highlights Midea’s dedication to making affordable innovation and seamless smart living accessible to every household.

“Today is not just about launching new products – it’s about embracing the future of home living,” said Mark Tam, Managing Director of Midea Malaysia. “Consumer lifestyles are evolving – people are busier than ever, and they seek smarter, more efficient solutions. Midea is here to lead the next wave of change, combining affordable innovation, high-quality manufacturing, and great customer service to bring seamless smart living into every home.”

As consumers prioritize energy efficiency, smart integration, and modern design, Midea is at the forefront of sustainable innovation. With electricity costs rising, energy-saving solutions have become increasingly important. Many of Midea’s latest air conditioners and refrigerators are certified by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), with 34 air conditioner models and 13 refrigerator models receiving a 4-star rating or higher. The adoption of inverter air conditioners has also surged, with energy-saving models now accounting for over 40% of total sales.

Beyond energy efficiency, smart home integration is shaping purchasing decisions. Midea’s latest range of AI-powered appliances features RFID and Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing users to control their devices remotely via the SmartHome App. This seamless connectivity enhances convenience and transforms daily living into an intuitive and connected experience.

Midea is also strengthening its presence as one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing home appliance brands, driven by increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions. The company’s air conditioner segment recorded over 30% year-on-year (YoY) growth, contributing to a 20% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past five years.

Looking ahead to 2025, Midea Malaysia aims to surpass RM1 billion in annual sales, targeting double-digit growth. The company will leverage its nationwide network of over 1,000 dealers to expand accessibility and sustain rapid growth. To further solidify its leadership in smart home solutions, Midea is expanding and upgrading its Midea Brand Stores, with plans to enhance over 50 outlets nationwide. These improvements will include professional technical support, expert consultations, and comprehensive experiential services, ensuring a consumer-friendly shopping experience that aligns with the company’s technology-driven transformation.

Midea’s next-generation smart home appliances are designed to provide seamless, user-friendly experiences for Malaysian consumers. Powered by the SmartHome App, the company integrates Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Platforms into its ecosystem, allowing users to control their appliances via smartphones. The official launch of the new product lineup will take place in the coming months, marking the next step in Midea’s vision for smart, sustainable homes.

In celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Midea will be offering customers Touch ‘n Go rebates worth up to RM500, starting from 16 March 2025. For more details and updates, consumers can follow Midea Malaysia’s official channels.
