Minix has introduced the Neo Z95, a compact mini PC that’s powered by the Intel N95. This is an entry-level Alder Lake-N processor from Q1 2023 that was replaced by the N150 and later by the N200. Now, while the CPU might be old, it’s still good enough for regular day-to-day tasks and light office work.

The company has paired the processor with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and the only configuration offered by Minix pairs it up with a 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD. There’s no mention of total storage support, but the storage is upgradeable. However, it’s worth mentioning that the RAM is soldered.

As for the size, the Minix Neo Z95 has a pocket-sized form factor. As the company notes, it measures 88 x 88 x 43 mm. While it’s small in size, there are a good number of ports, including:

• 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
• 2x HDMI
• 1x DisplayPort
• 2x 1G LAN
• 1x 3.5mm audio

With one DisplayPort and two HDMI ports, the mini PC can offer triple-display output, but it’s worth noting that the processor inside isn’t capable of handling heavy multi-tasking workloads. Other than that, there’s an active cooling setup that promises to keep the CPU cool under loads, and the chassis has a sleek finish.

There’s no word about the exact price, but Intel N95 mini PCs tend to go for around $230 (such as the 16/512GB GMK G3S that’s curr. $224.99 on Amazon). Minix hasn’t shared anything about the launch date either, but as the product page is live, it should be available to purchase soon.
