Casio has launched the Vintage A158WETB-1A in the US for $79.95, equipped with a black chrome-plated case, stainless steel band, LED light, stopwatch, water resistance, 7-year battery, and a unisex design.

Casio‘s popular Vintage series gets a new addition this October – the A158WETB-1A digital watch – now live on Casio’s US website. This latest model is priced at $79.95 and has a black chrome-plated resin case paired with a gray ion-plated stainless steel band. It gives the watch a stylish and understated look, which should be suitable for a range of occasions.

    Core features

The A158WETB-1A retains the recognizable square face and compact format (36.8 x 32.2 x 8.2 mm, weighing just 45g) typical of the iconic Casio classics.

    Key functions include:

    • 1/100-second stopwatch with elapsed, split, and 1st-2nd place time modes.
    • LED backlight (green) for readable visibility in low-light conditions.
    • Daily alarm and hourly time signal features.
    • Basic water resistance for everyday situations.
    • Seven-year battery life on a single CR2016 cell.
    • Resin glass with an auto-calendar function set for leap years.
    • The timekeeping is accurate up to +30 seconds a month, and users can toggle between 12/24-hour formats, with day, date, and regular hour/minute/second displays.

    Design and wear

Casio’s A158WETB-1A is marketed as both classical and unisex, which means it will fit nearly most wrist sizes (band compatibility: 150–205 mm). The adjustable steel clasp should be great for comfort and wearability for various users. Its classical digital look and square face resembles the 1980s originals, updated here in an all-black profile.

    Availability

The watch is now available for purchase via Casio’s US retail platform, and while it’s $80 price tag is a little higher than other watches from the same series (like the A158WA-1DF, currently $22 on Amazon), its unique design should help justify the price tag to some extent.
