Fresh leaks point to a new Casio G-Shock MTG-B4000D metal band model launching in January. The watch is expected to use Casio’s carbon laminated frame design, Tough Solar charging, and Bluetooth syncing. More information is expected to be available soon.

We now have fresh details around Casio’s upcoming MT-G series refresh. Japanese sources are pointing to a brand-new MTG-B4000D metal band model set for a January release. We previously saw the release of two resin strap variants in mid-2025, with a strong focus on new case construction.

According to Great G-Shock World, the MTG-B4000D will bring a full metal bracelet option to the series, effectively replacing the resin bands used on existing models. That change alone is expected to give the watch a heavier and more premium feel.

We also know Casio will likely go with the new carbon laminated frame design, which uses carbon fiber layers alongside metal parts to form a rigid but lightweight structure. Casio has previously described this frame as being developed using AI-assisted simulations to balance strength, weight, and shape, before final tuning by human designers. Going by looks alone, the layered carbon sides should stand out more clearly from the case profile.

On the feature side, the MTG-B4000D is expected to carry over the core MT-G spec sheet. That includes Triple G Resist protection against shock, vibration, and centrifugal force, Tough Solar charging, and Bluetooth for time syncing via Casio’s app. The screenshots also mention sapphire crystal with coating, a high-brightness LED, and a Made in Japan build from Casio’s Yamagata facility.

However, Casio has not officially announced the MTG-B4000D yet, and the info appears to come from blog sources rather than a formal press release. Still, with the model number already circulating, an early January launch looks quite plausible, considering we’re already approaching the end of 2025.
