Casio’s new limited Oceanus models, OCW-S7000CN-1A and OCW-SG1000CN-1A, are launching with black DLC-coated titanium, sapphire bezels cut with Edo Kiriko, and advanced solar tech in exclusive runs of 1,600 and 600 units, respectively.

Two new models in Casio‘s high-end Oceanus line have just surfaced online – the OCW-S7000CN-1A and OCW-SG1000CN-1A – each featuring black DLC-coated titanium and a design theme inspired by the calm and quiet of a moonlit night. Both models boast advanced Japanese material engineering and finishing, as well as limited-series exclusivity.

Both watches use a full titanium alloy case and bracelet, finished with a highly durable black DLC coating and “Zaratsu” polishing on select surfaces. The case thickness of the OCW-S7000CN-1A is 9.8 mm, and both models feature multi-faceted, arrow-shaped links and surfaces typically reserved for premium timepieces. The dials include blue lume on the hands and indices.

The sapphire bezel on both models features a unique gradient treatment to reflect moonlight as it plays across water. Especially in the OCW-SG1000CN-1A, the process involves more complex geometry and introduces the traditional Japanese Edo Kiriko cut-glass method. Detailed patterns of “a thousand lines,” hand-engraved under the direction of craftsman Toru Horiguchi, are intended to display the soft transitions from light to dark, just like moonlit ocean surfaces. The method uses sapphire, requires special tools and a multi-stage process for shaping, cutting, and decorating the bezel, including silver vapor deposition and gradient black coloring.

Casio has also used its Gallium Tough Solar system, reportedly boosting efficiency fivefold compared to conventional Tough Solar by using gallium-based connections in place of silicon – technology also found in advanced aerospace applications. Daylight enters the dial through a date indicator ring to charge the watch. Titanium with DLC coating is used throughout, including a caseback engraved with a relief of the moon’s surface on the OCW-SG1000CN.

Both models come with a full suite of Casio’s advanced features: Bluetooth, Multiband 6, solar charging, world time, chronograph, calendar, battery indicator, and water resistance to 100 meters. Only 1,600 units of OCW-S7000CN-1A and 600 units of OCW-SG1000CN-1A will be produced. Retail prices are set at $2,050 for the OCW-S7000CN and $4,500 for the OCW-SG1000CN, while the release date has been indicated as November 2025.
