Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti could launch mid-April with 2,572 MHz boost clock

Rumor mill: As prospective customers wait for Nvidia and AMD to replenish stocks of their newly released graphics cards, rumors suggest that Team Green has delayed its upcoming mainstream models. Furthermore, the reported specs indicate performance similar to that of their direct predecessors, which launched two years ago.

According to VideoCardz, Nvidia’s board partners have received the final specifications for the upcoming RTX 5060 Ti. Additionally, prior reports indicate that Nvidia has pushed the launches for the 5060 Ti and standard 5060 back by a few weeks.

The latest information aligns with earlier posts from prominent leaker “Kopite7Kimi” stating that the RTX 5060 Ti features 4,608 CUDA cores and a 180W TDP. At 2,407 MHz and 2,570 MHz, the base and boost clocks have increased by less than 100 MHz compared to the 4060 Ti. The 5060 Ti will come in 8 GB and 16 GB variants with a 128-bit bus.

A roughly complete picture of the GPU’s specifications suggests that it might perform slightly faster than the RTX 4060 Ti. Having faster GDDR7 VRAM might help the 5060 Ti punch above its weight in limited scenarios, multi-frame generation could improve motion clarity on high refresh rate monitors, and the card’s neural rendering support might prove useful in the future. The same is likely for the standard 5060, but its 8 GB VRAM pool will hold it back, and its clock speeds remain unknown.

Nvidia was initially expected to announce the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 on March 13 and release the two cards in April, but the company has remained silent thus far. According to a now-deleted post on the Board Channels forum, only the 5060 Ti will launch next month with the standard variant slipping into May.

The delay could give Nvidia crucial time to amass sufficient stock to avoid the so-called paper launches that have made the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 virtually unattainable. The 5060 Ti and 5060 will likely experience higher demand than the other RTX 50 series GPUs.

Nvidia is also likely waiting for AMD to reveal its hand in the mainstream space with the Radeon RX 9060 XT and 9060. Team Red has only confirmed a Q2 2025 release window so far, and little is clear regarding their specs.

Prior reports stated that the 9060 XT features 8 GB or 16 GB of 20 Gbps memory on a 128-bit bus and requires a 500W power supply, but it’s unclear whether the card uses a cut-down Navi 48 or the full Navi 44 die.
