NVIDIA Unveils GeForce RTX 5060 Series: Affordable AI-Powered GPUs for Gamers

NVIDIA has officially announced the GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards, bringing its latest Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4 technology to a broader audience. The RTX 5060 Ti is set to launch on April 16, 2025, with two configurations: an 8GB GDDR7 model priced at $379 and a 16GB version at $429. The standard RTX 5060, featuring 8GB of GDDR7 memory, will follow in May at a starting price of $299.

    Performance and Features

Both GPUs leverage NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, offering significant improvements over their predecessors.

The RTX 5060 Ti boasts 4,608 CUDA cores, while the RTX 5060 comes with 3,840 CUDA cores. These cards support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, enhancing frame rates and image quality in supported games.

Additionally, they feature fourth-generation Ray Tracing Cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores, enabling advanced ray tracing and AI-driven graphics enhancements.

The RTX 5060 Ti operates with a base clock of 2.4GHz and a boost clock of 2.57GHz, while the RTX 5060 runs at 2.28GHz base and 2.5GHz boost. Both cards utilize a 128-bit memory bus and are equipped with GDDR7 memory, offering higher bandwidth compared to previous generations.

    Laptop Integration

In addition to desktop GPUs, NVIDIA announced that laptops powered by the RTX 5060 will be available starting in May, with prices beginning at $1,099. These laptops will incorporate the same DLSS 4 and Blackwell architecture features, providing enhanced gaming performance and efficiency in a portable form factor.

    Availability

The RTX 5060 Ti will be available from April 16, 2025, through various add-in board partners, including ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. The RTX 5060 desktop GPUs and laptops are expected to launch in May. NVIDIA will not be releasing Founders Edition models for these cards, relying instead on its partners for distribution.
