Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, and the upcoming lineup is set to bring a few upgrades over the last-gen phones. A hidden code within One UI 8.5 has seemingly confirmed that faster wireless charging will be one of them.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to bring a handful of changes over the last-gen flagship phones. Recent leaks have already given an idea about what to expect from the upcoming smartphones, and now, a hidden code within One UI 8.5 has somewhat confirmed a key upgrade.

As spotted by Android Authority, there is a reference to “Super fast wireless charging” within the One UI 8.5 code. This is a new addition, as the Galaxy S25 series can only wirelessly charge in the regular or “Fast” mode. Among the two, the former charges the battery at speeds ranging from 5 W to 10 W, while the latter offers a wireless charging speed of up to 15 W.

The new addition, “Super fast wireless charging” mode, is expected to allow the Galaxy S26 series to wireless charge at a speed of up to 25 W, matching the Qi 2.2 standard (compatible Ugreen 2-in-1 Charging Station curr. $44.99 on Amazon). It’s something that past reports have already hinted, and this would be quite a bump, as the S25 series tops out at 15 W, which Samsung has been sticking to for quite a while now. Recent reports even suggest that the upcoming phones will feature built-in magnets for magnetic wireless charging, similar to MagSafe and Google Pixelsnap.

Of course, there’s a possibility that the 25 W wireless charging speed could only be available to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The standard and the Plus models, on the other hand, could top out at 20 W or retail the regular 15 W max wireless charging speed as their predecessors.

Speaking of which, the Ultra is also expected to see an upgrade in terms of wired charging speed. To be specific, as recent reports suggest, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60 W fast charging through the upgraded Super Fast Charging 2.0 branding.
