Only $400 for this touchscreen HP laptop with 16GB RAM? Hurry!

If you’re hoping to get a laptop with a decent amount of memory, you might want to hurry: prices are going up with no sign of returning to normal. That being the case, this 2023 HP model might be just the ticket if you’re on a budget. It has a Core i5 processor and 16GB of RAM, all for $399.99. But hurry! Best Buy’s sale ends on January 28th.
This laptop isn’t a screaming performance machine. While the Intel Core i5 processor has 10 cores, only two of them are performance cores, boosting up to 4.6GHz. But between the 16GB of DDR4 memory, 512GB of storage, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen, it should be able to handle just about everything you need to do in Windows 11 for basic browsing, video watching, and very light gaming. You get USB-C for data and charging, two USB-A ports for peripherals, and full-sized HDMI.
HP says the 45-watt-hour battery can last up to 9.75 hours, which, to be frank, is likely super generous with that processor and a big touchscreen. It’s a little thick at 0.73 inches, but the 3.52-pound weight is typical of a 15-inch design. At least you get a full number pad.
This particular model is sold by a lot of big box stores like Target and Walmart, but Best Buy has them beat by $50 or more right now. You’ll want to hurry, though, because the laptop’s sale page says it’ll only be at this price until the end of Wednesday. It’s showing as in stock at my local store, so you might have some luck there, too.
