On the face of it, Lenovo distinguishes the two ThinkVision monitors with a smaller stand and repositioned hardware buttons to reduce bottom bezel thickness. The front-facing I/O found on the ThinkVision P40w has gone too. Apart from that, the new ThinkVision is still a 40-inch curved ultra-wide monitor.

A bit more digging reveals that various European and UK retailers are already stocking the ThinkVision P40WD-40 ahead of its full release. Based on Insight UK and Premium PC’s listings, the ThinkVision P40WD-40 features an IPS panel with a 5K2K (5,120 x 2,160) resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, 120 Hz refresh rate and 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Apparently, an eKVM switch, RJ45 port and a Thunderbolt 4 docking station return too. While full pricing and availability remain unknown for now, Insight UK indicates that the ThinkVision P40WD-40 will retail for just over £1,400 including VAT.
