PlayStation State of Play confirmed for September 24 featuring Housemarque’s Saros – NotebookCheck.net News
The next PlayStation State of Play will be aired tomorrow, Sony has confirmed. The stream will run for 35 minutes, and gamers can expect “reveals and news from PlayStation Studios and developers around the world,” including an extended look at Saros.
Sony has confirmed its next State of Play will take place tomorrow, September 24.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, the showcase will kick off at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 11 PM CEST and run for 35 minutes. The stream will be live on YouTube and Twitch and will include a deep dive into what Sony has been working on at PlayStation Studios, along with updates and highlights from 3rd party and indie devs.
As expected, Saros, the highly anticipated PS5 exclusive from Returnal studio Housemarque, will make an appearance. Sony plans to show “nearly five minutes of gameplay captured on PS5.” The action-roguelike title was first revealed back in February, and Housemarque describes it as a spiritual successor to Returnal.
Other than that, Sony is being rather tight-lipped about what else might be in store at tomorrow’s showcase. Rumors have been swirling about Marvel’s Venom, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a new God of War, and possibly one last trailer for Ghost of Yōtei making it to the showcase. There could also be some announcements and new titles for PS VR2 fans.
But honestly, there is only so much that Sony can announce in half an hour. For comparison, the last Nintendo Direct ran nearly twice as long. Either way, fans can count on getting a first proper look at Saros, even if the rest remains under wraps.
