POCO F7 Series goes official in Malaysia from RM2299

POCO has officially launched its highly anticipated F7 Series in Malaysia, introducing the powerhouse duo — POCO F7 Ultra and POCO F7 Pro — designed to push the boundaries of performance, creativity, and value. Making its debut in Singapore with key media and tech enthusiasts in attendance, the launch event underscored POCO’s mission to deliver flagship-level innovation at unbeatable prices. The POCO F7 Series is now available nationwide, with exclusive launch promotions running until 9 April 2025.

At the core of the POCO F7 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, Qualcomm’s most advanced chipset built on a 3nm process. It delivers an AnTuTu score of over 2.8 million, with CPU performance boosted by up to 45% and GPU performance by 44%, all while significantly reducing power consumption. Complementing the main processor is POCO’s first dedicated graphics chip, the VisionBoost D7, built on a 12nm process.

This chip enables 120FPS gaming, 2K Super Resolution, and HDR-rich visuals for incredibly immersive gameplay and video content. Whether playing demanding games or streaming videos on YouTube and Netflix, Dual-core Visuals technology ensures ultra-smooth performance with vibrant clarity.

The POCO F7 Ultra runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, which enhances system fluidity, supports cross-platform connectivity, and leverages AI for smarter performance. It incorporates HyperCore for responsive system-level optimization, HyperConnect for seamless device interactions, and HyperAI for intelligent assistance, including Google Gemini. WildBoost Optimization 4.0 works behind the scenes to balance the Snapdragon 8 Elite and VisionBoost D7, ensuring smooth gameplay with stable frame rates, improved touch response, and immersive audio — even during extended Genshin Impact sessions at 2K and 120FPS.

The POCO F7 Pro, meanwhile, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offering a perfect balance between speed and energy efficiency. Also running Xiaomi HyperOS 2, the F7 Pro supports Smart Frame Rate technology for up to 120FPS and handles Genshin Impact at 90FPS effortlessly. Thanks to LiquidCool Technology 4.0 with a 5400mm² IceLoop heat pipe, the phone remains cool even under pressure, reducing SoC temperature by up to 3°C for sustained performance.

Battery life is another area where the F7 Series excels. The POCO F7 Ultra features a 5,300mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge, reaching 100% in just 34 minutes, and supports 50W wireless charging for added convenience. The POCO F7 Pro offers a larger 6,000mAh battery paired with 90W HyperCharge, providing long-lasting power even during demanding tasks. Both devices are equipped with the POCO Surge P3 and G1 chipsets, which optimize charging speed, safety, and battery lifespan. Even after 1,600 charging cycles, the batteries retain more than 80% of their original capacity, ensuring reliability over time.

On the photography front, the POCO F7 Ultra features a triple-lens system that includes a 50MP main camera with the Light Fusion 800 sensor, a flagship-level floating telephoto lens, and a 32MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view. The system supports eight classic focal lengths, allowing users to capture macro shots from just 10cm, vivid portraits with 2.5x optical zoom, and detailed distance shots with 5x in-sensor zoom. The POCO AISP platform integrates CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP capabilities to boost photo processing speed and clarity, offering features like 20X UltraZoom and UltraSnap, which captures up to 150 frames in rapid succession.

The POCO F7 Pro also offers a powerful imaging experience with a 50MP main camera and 8MP ultra-wide camera. Supported by POCO AISP and AI enhancements, it delivers excellent photo quality with features like Dynamic Shots and dual focal length portrait modes for both wide-angle and classic compositions.

Both phones feature ultra-slim bezels and displays with 3200 nits peak brightness, 1800 nits high brightness mode, and 3840Hz PWM dimming for optimal eye comfort. Certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light, flicker-free performance, and circadian-friendly brightness, the screens are designed for extended use without strain. Circular Polarization Technology mimics natural light, and AI touch enhancements ensure smooth responsiveness, even with wet hands or gloves. The POCO F7 Ultra also debuts an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for faster and more secure access.

In terms of design, both models feature advanced gloss-matte craftsmanship with quad-curved glass on the Ultra and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the Pro. They are both IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, with the Ultra featuring POCO Shield Glass — the most durable screen protection ever on a POCO device. Their sleek design includes a seamless matte metal frame and a symmetrical circular camera ring with aerospace-grade aluminum for a refined yet robust feel.

Connectivity and entertainment have also been enhanced. The Surge T1S signal enhancement chip improves cellular performance by up to 37% and boosts Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance by up to 16%. Stereo Dual Speakers combined with AI Super Cinema provide rich, immersive sound to match the high-performance visuals.

The POCO F7 Ultra is available in Yellow and Black with two storage variants: 12GB+256GB (RM2,999 normal, RM2,699 promo) and 16GB+512GB (RM3,299 normal, RM2,899 promo).

The POCO F7 Pro is available in Black, Silver, and Blue in 12GB+256GB (RM2,299 normal, RM2,039 promo) and 12GB+512GB (RM2,499 normal, RM2,139 promo) configurations. All F7 Ultra purchases include a free Xiaomi 50W Wireless Charging Stand (worth RM229), a free screen replacement within 6 months, a 2-year warranty, and a 6-month Google One subscription with 100GB cloud storage. F7 Pro purchases also include a 2-year warranty and free screen replacement within 6 months.

The POCO F7 Series is now available on mi.com, Shopee, and Lazada, offering flagship performance, creative freedom, and everyday reliability — all wrapped in a bold, value-packed package.
