Pokémon TCG Pocket reaches $1.3bn in first year, says AppMagic
Mobile title has reportedly surpassed Pokémon Go, which generated just over $1 billion during its launch year
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has generated $1.3 billion in its first year, according to new data.
As PocketGamer reports, AppMagic estimates suggest that Pokémon TCG is the brand’s best performing mobile game in terms of year one spend.
By comparison, Pokémon Go reached just over $1 billion in its first year of release.
Looking at Pokémon TCG’s monthly revenue, AppMagic data found that its launch month of November 2024 had a peak spend of $229.3 million (the game released on October 30).
The game also generated more than $12 million in the four days following its launch.
In terms of single-day spend, February 1, 2025 came out on top with $11.2 million following the title’s Space-Time Smackdown expansion.
